Bates Philanthropic Initiative
The Bates Philanthropic Initiative (BPI) scholarship aims to bridge the gap for high-need graduating high school students by expanding access to career and technical education and work readiness opportunities in the Denver metro area.
- Current graduating high school senior
- Minimum GPA of 2.7
- Plan to enroll full-time at a two-year community college, vocational-occupational trade school, or technical college in Colorado for at least one academic year
- Plan to pursue a certification or degree in skills-based fields featured in the Colorado Career Cluster Model (https://wp-cpr.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/2023/11/Colorado-Career-Cluster-Model.jpg). All fields are eligible EXCEPT Business, Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Public Administration
- While all students are encouraged to apply regardless of their identity, preference will be given to first-generation college students who show financial need who graduate from one of the following counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Weld, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, or Jefferson.
