Asegurando Learning Community Scholarship

The Asegurando Learning Community aims to provide wrap-around support for participants through high-level interventions in guided pathway gateway courses, co-curricular activities, and a 1st-year college success course. The Asegurando Learning Community Scholarship will provide financial assistance to offset costs for tuition or other academic needs such as books and supplies. By providing this scholarship, our goal is to support our students in persisting in their education at CCA and meet their academic and career goals.
Eligible applicants include any student who participated in the Asegurando Learning Community and those who meet financial aid eligibility requirements and earn/maintain good academic standing at the college.

1. Students must participate in the Asegurando Learning Community program at CCA
2. Must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester
3. Must be pursuing a defined program of study or certificate

The scholarship will be awarded annually based on a decision arrived at by the Committee. The scholarship will be a one-semester award for the semester following participation in the Asegurando Learning Community program for $500. Scholarship funds shall cover tuition, books, fees, and any required equipment.
To reapply annually applicant must:
1. Continue to meet the eligibility requirements as described above.
2. Applicants must have a semester GPA of at least 2.5 at CCA.
